Job Responsibilities and Duties

Responsible for business development efforts for the Engineered Solutions area, with emphasis on flood mitigation markets.

Creates and implements Client Engagement Process.

Identifies customers and funding sources for each market.

Creates cost benefit analysis for our products and services in comparison to competitors’ products and services.

Creates relationships with key decision makers in responsible markets.

Ability to close deals with clients to meet/beat business development financial targets.

Assists Executive and Business leaders in creation of Strategic Plans for responsible markets.Leads business development efforts in support of strategic/tactical plans

Must have ability to effectively and quickly qualify (or disqualify) leads.

Leads business development/sales staff to achieve revenue / profit growth in responsible markets.

Provides training and oversight in Business Development processes.

Works with Operations to identify and develop new products that enhance our differentiation in the marketplace(s)

Interfaces with Operations leadership to understand capacity and priorities of current / future work.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Business or related field; MBA desired.

Minimum of 5 years experience in business development to municipality customers (municipalities and/or A&E firms)

Business leadership in Sales and Marketing (required) and Operations (desired)

Understands municipality buying and funding processes

Experience with DHS and / or NYC FEMA type agencies

Demonstrated skill in interacting and selling to C-level executives

 

Additional Desired Capabilities

Proven relationships with A&E firms within major cities (NYC, preferred or DC)

Current association with AIA (American Institute of Architects) or equivalent

Understands Civil Engineering

Understanding of Insurance industry

In time, ability to take over control of the flood mitigation business area.

Job Title:  Assoc. Sewers – PPE/LTA                          Must be able to work “All” Shifts (4) Sewers

Job Duties: This position requires strong sewing skills on various types of industrial sewing machines. Occasional lifting and or pulling on heavy material, ability to work in stocking feet or moccasins and willing to cross train with small adhesive bonding and thermal operations on the production floor. Primary position is to sew soft good hood assemblies. Other duties will include sewing of LTA, PPE products as well as occasional cementing/ support as required.

High volume sewing is required. Some minor adhesive bonding operations and occasional work with thermal machines. Must be able to walk in stocking feet or moccasin’s, crawl and or sit on a concrete floor and climb on a sewing table top. Ability to work from written or verbal instruction and work well in a team environment.

Qualifications:

Basic skills of reading, writing and the ability to use a measuring tool. Strong working knowledge on both automated and manual industrial sewing machines:

Including set up and minor machine adjustments. Must be able to work from work instructions with minimal verbal direction. Understanding dimensions from a drawing is preferred. Must have high speed sewing experience with single needle or serge sewing equipment. All operators must be available to work any shift and some weekend work may be required.

Work as part of a team to fabricate, assemble, rework, and repair entire product or component of a product applying knowledge of working characteristics of plastic and bonding techniques, using precision instruments, hand tools, power tools, machines, and equipment. Team Assemblers can perform all tasks conducted by the team in the assembly process and rotate through all or most of them rather than being assigned to a specific task on a permanent basis. May participate in making management decisions affecting the work. Group leaders who work as part of the team should be included.
