February 23, 2006. ILC Dover, designer and manufacturer of all of NASA’s spacesuits since project Apollo, announced that Mission Specialist Stephen K. Robinson, Ph.D., NASA Astronaut, and Dr. Vijay Singh, Wave Biotech founder, joined the company’s President, William Wallach, in addressing employees at the annual state of the company presentation on February 23. “We are honored to have these distinguished guests speak on two important focus areas for ILC,” stated Mr. Wallach.
Dr. Robinson started working for NASA in 1975 and was on the most recent Discovery Mission in August 2005. In a transmission from space to NASA, Robinson expressed his thanks to ILC Dover for his “perfect” suit and gloves and his appreciation for “all the work and careful, careful attention to detail that went into making these things.” He has logged over 830 hours in space and over 20 EVA hours. He will discuss his recent mission and future NASA goals that may present opportunities for ILC.
