| ILC was responsible for the detailed design and materials development
for a new generation of advertising airships
for the American Blimp Corporation. ILC developed and qualified a translucent
Tedlar/Mylar envelope material for use in these internally illuminated
airships, which are operating world-wide. |

| ILC was responsible for the detailed design, materials development,
and fabrication of the new LZNO7 airship envelope
for Zeppelin. This semi-rigid, 220 ft. long envelope design necessitated
that tight tolerance requirements be maintained during production to
assure the envelope interfaced properly to the rigid superstructure.
The airship received its certification in 2001. Threee airships currently are in service operating in Japan, South Africa, and Germany. |
