Prevent leakage by sealing cuts and punctures of gas retention (inflatable) structures
Provide modular, scalable, flexible materials for applications ranging from Space Suits, to deployable space habitats, to airships

The ability to self-heal inflatable structures improves safety, reliability, and life cycle cost. Self-healing can be applied where strategically necessary (selected areas) to reduce mass and volume impacts. Our materials self-seal automatically and require no additional mechanisms or power.
ILC scientists and engineers have developed a range of self-healing technologies for engineered soft goods products. Vacuum chamber testing on spacesuit bladder components has successfully demonstrated the technology in a simulated space environment. Click here to view technical papers.
