ILC has developed a number of shape morphing technologies for use in space suits, UAVs, and other inflatable structures. This technology reduces the number of suit sizes required and enhances fit and performance for space suits. Several space suit components have been built and extensively tested. Manual cord adjustments, nastic cells, and pneumatic tendons have all been investigated with excellent results.
