Frederica, Delaware, November 2, 2020 – ILC Dover, a world leader in the design and production of single-use flexible solutions for pharmaceutical and biopharmaceutical manufacturing, today announced that Joel Williams has joined the Company as President for a newly-created business unit responsible for the Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), Safety, Packaging, and Engineered Solutions business units.
Joel, who joins ILC Dover from Smiths Medical in Minneapolis, Minnesota, will provide leadership across the entirety of ILC Dover’s PPE, Packaging, Safety, and Engineered Solutions business units. He will work closely with ILC Dover’s functional teams, ensuring the Company’s solutions meet evolving customer needs and drive profitable business growth and transformation.
During his time at Smiths Medical, a leading global manufacturer of specialty medical devices with operations in more than 30 countries, Joel served as Senior Vice President & General Manager for the Western Hemisphere. Before that, he was the Senior Vice President & General Manager of BioMaterials and Advanced Technology at Avantor, a Fortune 500 company. Prior to these significant positions, Joel held other roles in general management, finance, and engineering at companies including Halliburton, Bray International, Next Autoworks, Intel, and Microcool Technology, among others.

Joel holds a Master’s in Business Administration from Harvard Business School; a Master of Science in Materials Science and Engineering from Massachusetts Institute of Technology; and a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from Brigham Young University.
